Hi, I'm Molly!
I’m an author, e-commerce owner, and life coach.
I live in Michigan with my husband and two kids. I’ve had a few career paths along my journey to personal coach, including children’s author with a nationwide story-time routine, artist, and career nanny.
I am an identical twin and my sister, Emily Elisei, is a personal trainer and wellness coach. I started selling online with her several years ago in the very new market of Social Retail with our own e-commerce site.
Even though I started off with a lot of enthusiasm, I quickly felt lost and stuck. I was sharing who I was, products I loved, and a company I found great value in, but I could tell it wasn’t my true purpose. I was presenting a happy image online, going live, leading teams of people, but inwardly the depression and mental spiral had never been more out of control.
Running your own business is hard, but even more so when you’re on a self-discovery journey that reveals much of what’s broken internally in your own thought life and habits. I quickly became burnt out, with a messy head full of self-doubt and comparisons. I experienced deep personal joylessness, lack, and exhaustion. And ultimately, my work was dictating my life and I was missing out on the things that I really valued.
The moment everything changed for me was when I overhead my 4yr old daughter waking up her brother with, “Mommy is grumpy today, so be quiet, brother, and let her do her work.”
It killed me that my young kids were walking on eggshells around me, and interpreted my work as being more important than them. And I had created this life so that I COULD work a job from home in order to not miss their precious years. If I wasn’t enjoying these fleeting days, and savoring the beautiful life I had, because I was so busy working, then what was I doing it all for? Wasn’t it so that I could stay at home and enjoy my life and kids? And I wasn’t.
I hadn’t truly found my purpose or the necessary balance that a happy life must have when you are a work from home mom.
I quickly discovered that the positive mindset tips that are so commonly offered among internet coaches didn’t create any lasting changes. The overwhelm, stress, and chaos of juggling homeschooling with an online business full of financial goals and business cycles soon felt like ceaseless striving for an end result that would never arrive; And I was miserable.
That’s when I found something that years of personal growth work, mindset mantras, and years of Dr’s and counseling had never taught me: a way to truly change how I thought about myself, my life, and my future, that deeply felt like who I really was deep down. I was no longer striving for other people’s dreams, ideas about me, or doing the things that I felt I should: I had discovered what I really wanted and was chasing it.
I invested in the most expensive and most valuable course yet and not only began my own work, but received the elite certification so that I could offer the same help to others as a Coach.
I have spent over 5 years investing in myself so that I can confidently say to you:
I know exactly how you feel. Let me show how it gets better.
I’m a mom of two, my husband is a Detroit firefighter, we homeschool, and we love to hike, travel, and explore this beautiful world. I have spent years creating a life that builds on this value: having schedule freedom to see everyday as an adventure whether at home or on the road exploring.
I have a work and family life balance that allows for this. Learning how to build that life for myself first while navigating my journey as a wellness coach for a social brand is what allowed me to master it and teach it to you now as a certified personal coach.
In my mid-thirties I went through some hard things. Many of them were medical conditions, others were emotional and, in many ways, far worse than anything physical. A deep sense of loss and hopelessness followed me into many of my life choices during this time…
Coming from a place of physical stress, emotional unrest, and financial fear, I started a work from home business while navigating new motherhood, and this was the icing on the cake of my personal collapse.
But it was also the beginning of my own joy — I pursued my own coaching via some professional help and found how the challenges I was facing were not the curses I once thought, but rather tools in understanding how to relate to my world and the people in my community better. I learned how to figure out what I really wanted in life, what truly aligned with my skills and abilities, instead of just doing what was in front of me because it made sense to someone else.
I had been living in the “should” of what needed to be done and what others wanted me to do for a very long time. I was learning how to release this.
Understanding what was “wrong” with me, why I was wired the way I was, and how the world looked through my lenses, was important in my journey to maturity, but these labels had quickly became identities and excuses that turned into hopelessness. They had become the reasons why my life just always felt hard. That felt icky. I wanted to feel better.
Once I freed myself of my “issues” and saw them as things about me, instead of who I was, I started finding joy and connection in the world around me. I started working with my own coach on how to navigate my priorities as a wife and mom with my own e-commerce business. I leaned into my strengths and stopped focusing on my problems. I learned how to understand and deal with all of the overwhelm, stress, comparison, fear, and rejection that came along with being an entrepreneur.
And once I started learning how to change my feelings around my day to day realities, and really began to feel better internally and physically, I quickly shared it with my whole community.
And that’s when I started finding my true purpose and passion:
joy in coaching other people through their own hard story to find their own personal success.
